Feet Fettish

Coolboy: Donut has feet fettish ! He positions himself at my feet all the time - on my bed during bedtimes, under the computer table when I'm working-from-home, during meal times etc. He follows me and my feet anywhere I go !!! Here's some pics of Donut beside my feet.

Donut: I like to stick close to humans. Wherever you go, I will follow you.

Poor Guy

Nicejellybean: Recently, Donut developed a small red patch behind his right ear. In order to prevent him from scratching the infected area, we bought Donut his first conehead. As expected, he is not happy to wear the conehead but he has no choice. We only put it on whenever Donut has the itchy itch. The Vet prescribed a cream and anti-itch tablets. He also shaved the area around the red patch so that the skin can heal better.

Donut: I don't like to wear a conehead [growl][whine]

Donut's New Bed

Nicejellybean: After reading Shelby's Blog about Lamiedoodle, I thought that it's about time Donut should have his own personal space ie. in a proper bed. So over the weekend, we bought Donut his first new bed. In fact, we have been toying with the idea of getting a "bed" for him because he was still baby and buying a bed would be a risky thing (Donut might bite or worst peepoo in it!) Anyway, here's some pics of Donut trying out his bed.

Nicejellybean: The size of this bed fits him nicely. Right now, we try to train him to snuggle, sleep, sit and stay in there as long as possible.

How to Resist Temptation Game

Donut: Most of the time, Coolboy treats me like his precious. He will hug me, kiss me and treat me like his son. Then, he “tortures” me by putting my favorite food beside or on my paws and see how long I can resist the temptation. Ha ! Ha! I think it's Coolboy's dream for me to break the World Guinness Record and make him famous. Ooooh ... I hate this training so much. Everybody please see the video below and u will know why.

Nicejellybean: This is what Donut's expression looks like when we say "NO" to him whenever he wants to have a share of our food. He would give us his dissatisfied look and continues to scowl and glare at us. Most of the time, we'll let him have a teeny weeny bit of human food. Donut usually continues to stare at us if he wants more ! Donut likes anything which is edible. Oh! need i mention ... Donut also likes non-edible foods as well !

Donut wants to go too !

Donut: I found out today that my Papa have to travel to the UK for product training. OMG, who's going to sleep with me? who's going to clean my cage? who's going to give me daily training and most importantly who's going to bath me and feed me and “sayang” me and clean my wrinkle face, sing night night song for me ??? I don't want u to go!!! I don't care. Grrrrrrr. So the moment he took out his big suitcase for packing, I straight away hopped into it and stayed there hoping he will take me too.

Nicejellybean: You cannot follow your Papa because UK does not allow Pet Travel Scheme. Donut dear, your Papa is only away for 3 weeks and will be back soon. Be a good boy , OK?

New Outfit for CNY

Donut: Gong Xi Gong Xi Fa Chai! Here's wishing everybody (Puggies & Slaves) another 365 more days of prosperity, good health and much happiness in life. Mommy could not find me an oriental chinese costume so I had to make do with a "sort of" red outfit which suited me well. Don't I look handsome!

[Tips for a Lazy Person] How to work out your dog?

Coolboy: Here's a tip on how to give your doggie a good work-out ...

Step 1. Get a remote control car ( Hint: aim for a car which is a bit bigger then your doggie's soft toy) This RC car on the left cost me about RM30 only.

Step 2. Get your doggie's favourite soft toy ready .

Step 3. Attach the soft toy on the RC car with a rubber band and test run it. Ha! Ha! Enjoy!

FYI, Donut is chasing his toy for a good 10 minutes. Now that's what I call a good exercise for the day!

At the Beach

Nicejellybean: On NY's eve, both Coolboy and I together with Donut travelled to the Seaside. All of us were excited about the trip because it would be Donut's first time seeing the big blue sea. It took us approximately 1 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur before arriving at Port Dickson Beach.

Nicejellybean: We found a small secluded place near the beach away from those "peeps". Poor Donut was on leash the whole time because there were Malay people around and we had to be mindful & respect their beliefs.

Coolboy: Donut saw some pigeons fluttering nearby and decided to go after the birds. His leash was suddenly loose and we panicked for few seconds. Alas, we managed to pull him back on his leash.

Nicejellybean: A happy Nut running along the shoreline was certainly the highlight of the evening. We noticed Donut did not quite like the water and his tiny feet always trys to avoid the waves that came up the shoreline. However, he loves running along the beach into the empty spaces. I was huffing and puffing trying to keep up with him. It was also a good workout for me! Donut ran 2 long trips up and down the beach before calling it a day :)

Have a Merry Christmas !

Donut: Ho!Ho!Ho! This year is my first christmas. During Christmas I was sent for pet boarding at Pet Tales for 3 nights because both Mommy & Daddy had to go away to attend Uncle & Auntie's wedding. It's always scary for them to send me for boarding because they never know what bad habits I pick up from other doggies. This time when I came back from boarding, I forgot my toilet manners and started peeing on the floor instead of in the cage. Afterwards, I was scolded and locked up for 15 mins. Sigh!

Heavy Nut

Nicejellybean: We measured Donut's weight at the Vet Clinic during a routine health check-up. Donut is now 6.7 kg. You're getting heavier and bigger, Nut!

Dooggie Biscuit

Nicejellybean: Donut is very protective about doggie biscuits. He eats them everyday as treats. Donut eats Bark Brand Biscuit for Dog - lamb flavour. Apparently, eating the biscuits also freshens breath and cleans teeth as well. Besides doggie biscuits, Donut likes to eat plain white bread too.

 

Funny & Confused Nut

Nicejellybean: Donut looking confused for a while because we made funny faces at him. Ha!ha! When we give Donut an odd look or make weird noises, Donut will tilt his head from left to right. Donut: Ermmm what ru doing, peeps ?

 

Frisbee Time

Nicejellybean: Donut playing with his new toy - a frisbee which we had bought at the local pet store. At first I had serious doubts that Donut would know how to play with this new toy less grasp it in his teeny mouth but he picked it up with his teeth when we first showed it to him. Amazing! I am happy to say that he is very pro at playing frisbee game with us. The frisbee also doubles up as another game which Donut likes ... tug-of-war!

The Nut is Bored

Donut: Hey peeps, it's getting too quiet at pugsquad forum. I want to go for pugsquad party but I guess it's not happenning this month. Nicejellybean: Everybody busy with something or other especially during year end lar. You know what, if you are a good boy we'll take you up to Fraser's Hill again. How's that sounds ?

CSI Who chewed RM100?

Coolboy: Woke up this morning and discovered that two of our RM50 notes shredded to pieces. The only living object in our apartment who could reach into our wallet and who does not appreciate the real value of RM100 is no other then our Monster, Donut ...

At first, I was so so very upset because RM100 could buy me a lot of things eg: 10 “Magic the Gathering” booster packs or two gold class movie ticket or one very good Thai Massage or .... (the list can go on and on) but ... ahem, as an “understanding” father, I think I better give the Monster a benefit of doubt. Maybe the "Culprit" is a bird or is it my other two green turtles who has committed the crime, right? So, here's how I started my very “detailed” crime scene investigation (CSI). Aha! I found two tiny pieces of RM50 notes hidden between Donut's fav places - the floor cushions. The tiny pieces matches perfectly with the big dollar notes plus the notes are slightly wet with Donut's saliva. Thus, little monster must be the Culprit. Better bring him for questioning .... After about 10 minutes of questioning, Donut finally admitted he chewed the RM50 notes.

...... no,no,no.....that pathetic or "please for give me" look will not help you a bit !

After he admited that he did commit the crime (no reason given), we decided to bring Donut to Local Police Station for confession.

Coolboy & Nicejellybean: Donut is punished in cage for two hours. We think that the punishment is too light. Wha da ya think peeps ???

SPCA You

Donut has been so very naughty and uncontrollable ie yapping and barking out of no reason at all. He wakes up early in the moring when everyone else is still sleeping. Refuse to eat his dinner and we have to hand feed the monster. He eats just a little and does not finnish his dinner. Gnaws at all our furniture, bites newspapers, magazines and even toilet paper rolls.

We threatenned the Monster and decided we will not hesitate to pack him off to SPCA.

Then, we read an article Abstract from Malay Mail: Fond memories of Merah Kuala Lumpur, Nov 12: "The sisters and their father, Aliff Lam Abdullah, took Merah and her four kittens to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Jalan Kerja Ayer Lama in Ampang here on Oct 31 for adoption. Four days later, when they returned to check on the cats, they were told by a SPCA officer that all five cats had been put to sleep as no one wanted to adopt them. Aliff claimed he was not informed by the officer-in-charge about the time frame for the cats to be put to sleep if no one adopted them. He said if he had knew what would happen to the cats, they would have left the cats with friends."

Oh, is that what happens to unwanted animals at SPCA ???? Oh dear Donut .....

Sleepless Nights ...

Coolboy: Of late, Donut's night time routine is ...

11.30pm A little supper time with doggie biscuits or nibbling some leftovers from Donut's Dinner (he does not finnish dinner and leaves half portion in the bowl) Dunno why?
Mid-Night Donut dozes off and sometimes he will jump on us in our beds. Most of the time we "persuade" him to sleep by singing or the easy way - make him run till he tires out.
Between 12 till 3am Donut sleeps or goes to pee pee or makes soft whinning sounds
4am Donut makes loud whinning sounds and sometimes barking/yapping. He uses his feet to poke us/nibbles our toes. (He wants to play !!!!)
(During this time, we have no choice but to wake up also. To keep him quiet Donut gets extra doggie biscuits and we are thinking of giving 1 greenie bone to quiet him down.)
5am We ignore him. Doze off again
6am He wakes up and makes loud whinning noises !!!! Runs around when we ignore him (at this point of time, we try really hard to get sleep) However, he runs more and nibble our toes when we ignore him more.

Sleepy Nut

We could not resist smiling as we looked at the cutest dog in the world. We took some pics of Donut while he was bumped-out on the sofa.

After a short car ride with Coolboy & Nicejellybean, Donut is tired and resting on the sofa. The sofa is one of his favourite place where Donut likes to take his in-between bedtime naps. Other fav spots are sleeping/sitting on floor cushions and beside Coolboy on the bed.

Donut sleeping soundly and if you listen closely Donut is actually snoring. Hopefully the snoring will not get louder as he grows up !

Coolboy & Nicejellybean: Donut is awake and lying quietly on Mommy's lap starring at the camera man. As with most puggies, Donut likes to follow our footsteps everywhere we go ie. to the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom etc. including sticking closely to us on the sofa while we watch TV. If Donut is not on the sofa with us, Donut will still find a sitting spot near the sofa and never let us out of his sight. Donut: STOP taking pictures of me or else I'll start yapping !

Donut to Dogathon

Donut: Last week, both Coolboy & Nicejellybean took me to Dogathon 2005 Kuala Lumpur so that I can socialize with other Doggies. At the gathering, there were games, dog competitions and doggie stuff. Here are some pics taken at the Dogathon.

There were many breed of dogs at the gathering. Some wore fancy clothes and accessories. Some were plain naked ...

Donut: Yikes! What an enormous doggie. He is the biggest dog I've seen.

Donut: I want all the nice clothes ... I don't care.... I want.

Nicejellybean bought me new clothes with red & white stripes. I looked very smart looking and cute. Coolboy complained that my new T-Shirt is more expensive than his T-Shirt ! (which was not true by the way)
